Looking for a fun, engaging, and inspirational author visit for your school? As a children’s book author-illustrator, I am excited to bring an interactive presentation (for grades K-4th grade)to help inspire kids to read, write, and create!

The Visit

During the presentation (approx. 45 mins) we will dive into the following:

  • (dependent on age group)

    • About me and my journey in becoming an author-illustrator – I will showcase the first two books I “published” in elementary school and my early drawings
    • A glimpse into my writing and illustration process – From idea, to editing, and illustration steps
    • A reading of my book, The Biggest and Brightest Star in the Sea
    • Discussion on lessons learned and/or activity sheet handout
    • Q&A

Investing in an author school visit is a wonderful way to inspire students to foster a love for reading, storytelling, and creativity. It provides children with the unique opportunity to engage with a real author, showing them the possibilities of bringing their own imaginations to life. As an author and illustrator, I am deeply passionate about inspiring youth and want to make school visits as enriching and accessible as possible. While my visits typically require a minimum book order, I understand that every school has different circumstances and am happy to work with each school individually to find an arrangement that fits their needs.

  • Honorarium

      • (Presentations can be individual classes or assembly style)
      • 1 Presentation: 20 book order minimum or $300
      • 2 Presentations: 40 book order minimum or $500
      • 3 Presentations: 60 book order minimum or $700
      • Virtual Presentation: 20 book order minimum or $200
      • Kindergarten classes can be done together, separate from the other grades (20 min presentation)
      • + travel expenses apply with the exception of a 50 mile radius of San Diego, California

Each student will receive a free bookmark

Teachers will be emailed an activity sheet packet
